July 2015

Apply Now for August 9: 2nd Sunday CITY mARTket Fair

Artsplosure is continuing to organe an artist’s market in downtown Raleigh’s historic City Market entitled “Second Sunday CITY mARTket FAIR of Raleigh.” The market will be every second Sunday through October of 2015. Our second market will be on Sunday, August 9 from 10 a.m. through 4 p.m.
The CITY mARTket is designed to spice up downtown with what else, ART! Artists must present unique arts and crafts to sell in the market. Our July “mARTket” was a huge success, as reported by our friends at The News & Observer.
The deadline for submission of our July market has passed. A jury reviews and scores all submissions by Friday, July 31, with notification of acceptance or non-acceptance occurring soon thereafter.
At this current time, there is no application fee for the Second Sunday CITY mARTket FAIR of Raleigh. The booth fee is $25 for a single space (10′ x 10′) and $50 for a double space (20′ x 10′). Booth fees may be paid online (below) or with a check sent to Artsplosure at PO Box 391, Raleigh, NC 27602.
Apply below and send to glynda@artsplosure.org by the deadline stated above. You may fill out the form electronically (click the “Word” file below) or by printing it off and scanning it (click the “PDF” file below).

City Market is located in downtown Raleigh at 215 Wolfe Street: right across from Moore Square.

2nd Sunday City mARTket Fair

In partnership with Hakan Properties, Artsplosure will organize an art market every second Sunday in downtown Raleigh’s historic City Market.
Artsplosure is bringing its expertise to a series of warm weather month art and craft markets in downtown Raleigh. The first “Second Sunday City mARTket Fair” will take place on Sunday, July 12, from 11 a.m. through 6 p.m. in City Market located at 215 Wolfe Street, Raleigh.

Artsplosure is known for its annual namesake spring festival that draws thousands to downtown Raleigh. A major feature of its spring festival is the juried Art Market, which features the talents of visual artists and fine crafters from North Carolina and nationally. The experimental “Second Sunday” fair will be similar but on a smaller scale, featuring from 20 to 40 mostly local artists in the market.

Artsplosure encourages the public to visit its market while in downtown each second Sunday of the month. This free-to-the-public art market will feature a jury-reviewed range of artists selling unique arts and crafts from painting, jewelry, woodworks and more.
