Jaci Field Joins Artsplosure as Executive Director

Jaci joins Artsplosure after 23 years of service at UNC Athletics as Assistant Athletic Director of Capital Projects & Facilities, bringing a grand total of 29 years of event management experience to the team. Her portfolio of events include Olympic Games,  Paralympic Games, Atlanta Black Arts Festival, Crape Myrtle Festival, OUT Raleigh/LGBT Center of Raleigh programs, and La Fiesta del Pueblo. 

In her role at UNC Athletics, she managed the Eddie Smith Field House, leading capital projects and renovations and cultivating facilities culture. She was the Director of Camps and helped plan emergency responses. She has also worked with others to create a women’s leadership LeanIn Circle for the UNC athletic department. 

Field joined the Smith Center staff in the fall of 1999. She has worked in events, facility and emergency planning with organizations like the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games, the Atlanta Paralympic Organizing Committee, the 1999 Special Olympic World Games and she was the Assistant General Manager for the Georgia Pride (WPSL).

Field is also active in the community on the UNC campus and beyond. She served on the Diversity & Inclusion Awards Committee and is the recent past Chair of the  Carolina Black Caucus. Jaci has also served on the Board of Directors for the Crape Myrtle Festival and the LGBT Center of Raleigh. 

Field graduated from UNC with a BA and coached track at UNC Asheville and Emory University before following her mentors, Coach Charles Foster and Dr. LeRoy Walker, to work for ACOG.  She also earned a Graduate Certificate in Community Preparedness and Disaster Management from the UNC School of Public Health in 2008. 

She lives in Raleigh with her son, Declan, and has her own personal family memories attending Artsplosure - The Raleigh Arts Festival over the last decade!
