Artsplosure Chosen as a 2015 Inductee into The Raleigh Hall of Fame

Artsplosure is humbled to be in such esteemed company as inductees into The Raleigh Hall of Fame this year. We were chosen among many other notable individuals and organizations for the Hall of Fame's October 2015 induction. The recognition is particularly meaningful this year as Artsplosure plans it's 25th First Night Raleigh celebration, marking over two decades of bringing the work of imaginative and celebrated artists and performers to downtown Raleigh on New Year's Eve.

"It's such an honor for Artsplosure to be recognized in such a significant way by the Raleigh Hall of Fame. I feel that Artsplosure really was a trendsetter for all of the great current special events that take place in downtown Raleigh and we are so proud to be a part of this history. We know the power of putting the arts out to the people in the way that we do and it's so gratifying to have played a small role in what will no doubt be the future of our city!" said Programming Director, Terri Dollar of Artsplosure's role in the Raleigh community.

Artsplosure joins the Raleigh Hall of Fame alongside 10 individuals and 1 other organization. William Prentiss Baker, III, Dr. Robert E Bridges, Micou Farrah Browne, Alice K. Burrows, Dr. John Gilbert, Charles C. Meeker, Robert Rankin, Bishop Henry Beard Delany, Henry Marin Tupper, and the Raleigh Rescue Mission will be honored along with Artsplosure for their work and contributions to North Carolina's capital city.

"We are truly humbled to be joining the Raleigh Hall of Fame.  It’s a meaningful reward for nearly four decades of work.  More important, it has energized the board and staff to be even more adventurous and creative as we map out our strategic director over the next five years." said Executive Director, Michael Lowder of the induction honor.

The Raleigh Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place at the Raleigh Convention Center tonight, October 5th, at 6:00 PM. For more information on this year's events as well as past events, visits The Raleigh Hall of Fame website.
