New Public Art Installation at Trophy Brewing
Artsplosure’s latest public art installation is here! We’re excited to partner with Trophy Brewing Company and Raleigh artist Jane Cheek for “We Made a Happy Little Tree” currently on display at Trophy’s Morgan Street location in downtown Raleigh.
The Artsplosure team collaborated with Jane Cheek to put a colorful and kinetic spin on the First Night Raleigh Resolution Oak Tree by artist Jennifer Van Orton.
Artist Statement
Wind gently whispering over water and land. Light streaming through mist, refracted into a rainbow. Trees standing majestically, accepting of the burdens you lay on their waiting branches. Do you remember being here? Do you remember the feeling of being welcomed in nature?
My work captures these emotions in large scale immersive formats.Influenced by abstract and textile art, I stitch collages and kinetic sculptures that bring the viewer into an altered perspective, one where they can feel the wonder and acceptance of the natural world. Nature embraces us all and my work aims to remind the audience of the egalitarian wonder of our planet.
