Welcome to the new Artsplosure website!
By Michael Lowder, Executive Director
The Artsplosure team very much wants this site to be informative, engaging, and most of all artful, given our artistic mission. This launch is part of a "brand evolution" process our board and staff have been engaged in over the past year and a half.
We have been fortunate to have the creative services agency Mottis guiding the process. Among other things, Mottis staff has conducted extensive research, interpreting the data, and made sound and practical recommendations, including updating our vision and mission statement, drafting a positioning statement, creating a new corporate identity package, and developing a marketing and communications outreach plan. Mottis also designed this website with Pointer Advertising.
All this has been undertaken to make sure our festivals and enrichment programs are serving a real need, reaching as many people as possible, and valued by audience members, sponsors, and patrons.
Please let us know what you think of our website and our festival presentations, as our 35th Artsplosure – The Raleigh Arts Festival is just around the corner. More to come about the Artsplosure festival program on May 17-18, 2014, in future posts.
In the meantime, the World Beer Festival – Raleigh is coming up on April 5 in and around Moore Square and City Market, and Artsplosure is the Charity Partner! We receive a portion of every ticket sold based on the actual number of volunteer hours friends of Artsplosure and local craft beer enthusiasts actually contribute on April 4, which is the set up day, and the day of the event. In order to receive our full contribution, 1,700 hours of volunteer time needs to be contributed.
So, anything you can do to help at the World Beer Festival will be much appreciated! For more information about volunteering, please click here.
