Announcing: Jason Craighead, New Honorary Chairman

We are thrilled to announce that renowned artist, Jason Craighead, has joined our non-profit organization as our new Honorary Chair. Jason has been a valuable member of the art community in Raleigh for over two decades, and his contributions to the city's cultural landscape have been significant, to say the least.

Jason is an internationally recognized artist who has lived and worked in downtown Raleigh since 1997. He has participated in Artsplosure in various ways over the years, from painting live with children and adults to serving as a juror for the festival. Jason's passion for art extends beyond his own work; he has been actively involved in the city's arts scene, serving on the City of Raleigh Arts Commission for seven years and being part of the Grants Committee for several years. His works are also part of the city's permanent art collection.

In 2018, Jason had a solo exhibition at CAM Raleigh, which showcased his unique style and artistic talent. Currently, he is preparing for his third solo exhibition with Makasiini Contemporary in Turku, Finland, which is set to open soon.

As our new Honorary Chair, Jason brings a wealth of experience, knowledge, and passion for the arts to our organization. We are excited to work with him and tap into his creativity and vision as we strive to support and promote art in our community.

Jason's involvement with our non-profit organization is a testament to our commitment to fostering a vibrant arts community in Raleigh. We are thrilled to have him on board and look forward to collaborating with him on future projects that celebrate the power of art to inspire, enrich, and transform our lives
