Step Inside to Dance and Sing!

Artsplosure is looking forward to hosting entertainment of MANY types on Sunday, August 9 at "2nd Sunday CITY mARTket Fair." Of course from 10:00 am through 4:00 pm, our outdoor art market will line the beautiful cobblestone streets of City Market with artists selling handmade crafts from jewelry, painting, woodworks and more.

However, when you want to cool off, head into City Market's Market Hall in the center of the market! Artsplosure is proud to welcome singers from NC Opera and ballroom dance fun from a Triangle Chapter of USA Dance to make your afternoon even more fun!

At 1:00 pm, NC Opera singers Lora Fabio and John Cashwell will be accompanied by pianist Kate Lewis for a "pop up" opera performance in promoting opera to the Triangle community. In addition, new dance groups will be inside Market Hall teaching people of all ages and ability levels. USA Dance's Curtis Bass will teach East Coast Swing at 2:30 pm and the Cha Cha at 3:30 pm for free in an effort to promote their mission of bringing the pleasure and benefit of ballroom dance to the public. Remember, you don't need a partner or fancy shoes to dance. Just come have fun!
